Unfortunately, many people are unaware of these fascinating locations. Even those who have lived here for many years often overlook the beauty and history right at their doorstep. Instead, many individuals gravitate towards other provinces. They are drawn by the enhanced popularity of these places. The allure of well-trodden tourist trails also attracts them. If you have no plans to visit any other province this year, I have an exciting list. You can venture to remarkable places this year in Saskatchewan. Visit the stunning landscapes of the Grasslands National Park. Explore the historic charm of Fort Walsh. Each destination offers a unique glimpse into the rich tapestry of life in this extraordinary province.

1. Themed Railway Tours, Ogema

Ogema is a beautiful small town in South central Saskatchewan, approximately 115 kilometers south of Saskatchewan’s capital city Regina. It is famous for the Southern Prairie Railway. This railway is the first full-sized tourist railway in the region. It draws visitors from near and far. That’s where the exciting part is. They have various themed railway tours that run for 2.5 to 3.5 hours per tour during the summer months. These tours run up to mid-fall. They offer a unique experience that showcases the breathtaking landscapes of the prairie. The most popular tours include the thrilling Robbery tour. There is also a fascinating historical tour. Additionally, a delightful kids’ fun train is designed to entertain and engage younger passengers. We got an opportunity to take the Robbery tour last year. It was a full day of fun. The day was filled with laughter and surprises. The dramatic reenactments were captivating. Interactive elements kept everyone on edge. Even kids enjoyed this tour very much. It created lasting memories that we cherish to this day. Visitors to Omega can expect an exhilarating railway adventure. They will also experience the town’s warm hospitality. It is a perfect destination for families and adventure seekers alike.

Try your hand at tree drop adventures. Experience exhilarating go-karts racing through scenic trails. Enjoy the thrilling experience of ziplining high above the ground.
