Organizing your pantry is always a big task, no matter if it is a big or small pantry. If it is not well organized, you keep on buying more grocery and not realizing you already same food sitting in your pantry. And when you realize, it is already that a food is expired or not good enough to utilize. No doubt, this will increase your grocery bills but also food wastage. I feel organizing your pantry will not just improve your grocery habits and bills but also save your unnecessary spending of time on grocery shopping and avoiding food wastage.
Here are list of few things you can do to organize your pantry well:
1. Using clear containers
Clear container comes really handy when organizing your pantry. They are helpful in knowing which food items is in container and that way you know when and how much you need to shop further. You can use either glass or plastic clear container as it is completely a personal choice. Glass containers are great for food items like flour and pasta. On the other hand, cereals and lentils can go in good quality plastic.

2. Labelling
Labelling your containers is great idea if your family member is cooking and you are not at home some day. Of course, it will save their time and also unnecessary calling and texts to you if you are busy and not able to answer back. You can buy labels at any store like Walmart, dollar store or at Amazon. Labelling gets really helpful with the children as they can find their stuff easily.

3. Using turntable organizer
If you have small pantry, turntables are very helpful in stacking spice containers on it. They are great space savers , makes item easy to access and especially suitable for corner pantries. Go for heavy duty ones with high edges to avoid any falls while rotating.
4. Designate shelves
You can try this hack if you or your family member makes frequent special dessert or traditional meal. You can designate one shelf where you can put all the ingredients together on one shelf. That way you do not need to look for ingredients on other shelf. This will be helpful in doing your grocery shopping as you know what ingredient will finish soon.
You can also designate one shelf for placing your shopping bags if you are frequent buyer of shopping bags. At least, this will save your few cents.
5. Hanging grocery list
Hanging grocery list in pantry can make your shopping experience smooth . If you or your family member sees something going to finish soon, they can write on the grocery list. So that, no surprises after you done with grocery shopping and realize you did not shop for that item.
